CERTIFIED PROSTHETIST & ORTHOTIST

Sean L. Stellar is the CEO of Stellar Prosthetics and Orthotics, the premiere prosthetic clinic in southern California. He graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1996. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and a member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. He is board certified in both prosthetics and orthotics. After completing his residency in Texas, he moved to California where he served in a management position with a national prosthetics and orthotics company. He began his own clinic in 2002 and since then has helped thousands of patients in the southern California area.

Stellar Prosthetics and Orthotics is located in Pasadena, California and is a family oriented business. It is a state of the art facility with the most up to date prosthetic and orthotic technology. The combined experience of the clinicians at Stellar Prosthetics and Orthotics is more than 42 years, which allows them to provide a higher level of care and service for all patients.

RUSTY B. SAMUEL
CERTIFIED PROSTHETIST & ORTHOTIST

Rusty Samuel’s devotion to helping others, combined with his medical background and technical skills, have enabled him to excel in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics. He began his career in a technical position at a Southern California Orthotics and Prosthetic practice where he trained in fabrication and assembly of Orthotic and Prosthetic devices. Such devices included laminations, vacuum forming, mold modification, custom fit devices and management over laboratory stock and inventory. Four years of this technical training inspired Mr. Samuel to pursue the clinical aspect of the practice. In 1999 he obtained his bachelors degree in health care management and shortly thereafter in 2003 he received a second bachelors degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics. During his education he maintained focus in Orthotics and Prosthetics by working with Hanger Orthopedic from 1996 to 1999. There he expanded his knowledge both clinically and administratively, as exposure to patient care was in demand. Along with his course study, he has attended many continuing education seminars which have allowed him to keep up with the latest technology trends. Some of the course studies include C-LEG micro processing knee, VertAlign spinal solutions, Biomechanics involving foot orthotic treatment, biomechanical gait training and various others involving the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics. Rusty Samuel is registered through American Board for Certification as a certified Prosthetist and Orthotist.

STEVEN P. SHUNN, CP
CERTIFIED PROSTHETIST

It’s been said that Steven Schunn was born into the prosthetics business. He is a congenital PFFD patient. At an early age he was exposed to one of the premier clinics in the United States for pediatric amputees. He was fit with his first prosthesis at age ten. He began working in the industry after graduating from high school. His twenty four years in the field give him a very broad range of experience. As an amputee his compassion and empathy are expressed through the quality of his workmanship as well as the satisfaction from his patients. His experience consists of traditional and modern techniques in prosthetics. Steve continues to further his knowledge by attending advanced prosthetic seminars and helps with the development of new prosthtetic technologies based on his own life’s experience.

I also feel that my ability to interact with patients on an empathetic level is advantageous to meet their needs. Furthermore, being an amputee from birth has led me down many roads not taken by others.
